There are affluent buyers that are at a point in life that they no longer buy green bananas.

Who would have thought that a '79 Bullnose Bronco would sell for $217K? Those buyers aren't scouring the listings on BaT.

Your post is kind of underselling the 79 that sold for that price. It's basically an Icon restomod. Blown Coyote, All new chassis and drivetrain, all the man hours spent working the body over. I'm not saying I would spend that kind of coin, but that sure is a pretty truck. The company who built it probably didn't make a mint with all the new stuff they put into the vehicle.
