Kind of similar to the Explorer Timberline. I don't have a need for it but it seems a bit redundant in their portfolio.

All the Automotive mags, rags and internet have been talking about that Ford is building the new 2023 Ranger6g based Everest for the rest of the World.

There have been sitings of RHD mules driving around Michigan.

So if Ford Builds a NA 2023/24 Everest, would you buy one and why?

Would not be interested in a ranger-based SUV. Going back to body-on-frame SUV's is interesting considering Durango was finally switched over due to them riding like garbage.

But then again, by this time i'll still have my '19 Ranger Lariat and, theoretically, the Bronco Badlands in the garage for modern drivers, so the Everest class of vehicle just seems misguided for my use.

In terms of sales: As long as people don't test-drive this thing back-to-back with a unibody SUV, it might sell. But it's going to drive suuuuuuuuuper rough and turn off a TON of potential buyers with it's on-road ride quality. A do-everything, pay no attention to what you're doing, monstrous SUV of comfort Everest will not be. And that's what Americans are buying. Barca loungers that beguile them into thinking they have some sort of active lifestyle in the WalMart parking lot.

First thing that popped in my head when I seen the OP pictures. Looks just like a Durango Update!

BOF is nice but if thats all I was aiming for then I would get the Lexus GX460 and have some fun.

I’d rather buy one of them than the Explorer. But if it was here I’d figure the pricing would be likely to push me towards a lower optioned but better overall Expedition. Same how the Ranger pricing pushed me to buying an F-150 that was better all around.

I do hope the matrix LED headlights make their way to the next updates for vehicles here though. They’re truly amazing.

Side note the Bronco headlights while okay are definitely lacking, see the picture below compared to my pinky. But given the small size of the array it’s no surprise. Hopefully that sees a change first. Weiners crossed it gets matrix LED’s

Telluride is also much nicer looking and likely has a better interior.
I agree this is actually an ugly SUV, given the option I'd go with a Telluride.

Way less power also.
The Australian site lists the 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel at 157kw, which according to all-knowing Google, translates to just over 210hp versus the Kia's 291.

Not that I'm some Kia advocate, but I just don't see myself in the market for a full-frame, go-anywhere vehicle with 3 rows of seating. To me, three row SUV means I'm hauling people and/or stuff, but am too vain to drive a minivan.

It's got a pretty face but that ass is a failure. Have to agree with the Durango comparison.

I'd be more inclined to buy the Ranger6G crew cab with an overland style cap than that Everest.

The Everest just got me thinking since B6G members were pitching ideas like a solid roof Bronco 4D wagon or a 2D wagon nicknamed the "Long Board".
