I have a 2024 2 door Black Diamond with the base 7 speaker audio system. While it doesn’t sound horrible, I know it could be better. I’m wondering what a good first upgrade would be. My first instinct was to get new rear pods and upgrade to 6.5” speakers back there. Would replacing those have the biggest impact (compared to replacing any of the other speakers)? In case it matters, I rarely use the back seats. It’s usually either just me in the vehicle or me and my wife.

Thanks, but that thread seems to be pretty focused on upgrading the B&O system which doesn’t apply to me.

There's a super thread (75 pages!) on the base 7 speaker system, including upgrades:
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...-mandatory-and-functional-amps-removed.61106/

Most start with upgrading the front dash speakers. The 4" rear pod speakers can then be replaced or upgraded to a 6.5" at a higher cost.
Throw another $250 at it with a new Kicker 47key200.4 amp.

I'm real happy with my system after replacing the 4" speakers with Infinities and adding the factory subwoofer amp and a Kicker sub to replace the non-function ones on my 2023.

The great thing about the Kicker Key 200.4 is that the DSP can tune around some of the short comings in the stock speakers. Sure, aftermarket speakers are better, but I was impressed by the Kicker Key 200.4 and Kicker 46HS10 subwoofer prior to the speaker upgrade.

I know this may rub your rhubarb the wrong way, but purely from a perspective of driving more traffic to this site that we all enjoy, having multiple threads on a topic is actually a good thing and not a bad thing.

Annoying? Maybe.

Good for search engine indexing that increases this site's visibility when people Google shit like "How can I upgrade the sound system in my Bronco" ? Absolutely.

Not to mention the search function on this site sucks. You have better luck just searching google and adding "+Bronco6G" to the query.

Or, I see the best luck actually posting a thread like this.. then after a couple of "USE SEARCH" replies, down at the bottom is the Similar Threads section, and that is actually really useful and pertinent. Funny how Similar Threads can find stuff but Search just kinda barfs.

~~~ But, to the OP
@RagnarKon is the audio guru around here, by far. He has a lot of threads and posts here about it.
In my opinion, best bang for the buck goes, in this loose order:
Upgrading the Dash speakers - very easy, low hanging fruit.
You can get decent upgrade from doing the rear pods, as has been suggested. But it isn't nearly as big of an upgrade as the dash speakers - unless you keep going.
This point is kind of a tie - I think if you want to go better here - you really need to look at upgrading to a full amplifier for the regular channels. (And going a bit deeper yet, I would look at a DSP/Amp combo - the Kicker does have a mild DSP but it's not easily adjustable)
But, depending on how big of a bass head you are, doing the subwoofer (including a sub amp) is either before or after the amp of the other channels.
Then, way down on the bottom of the list, the kickpanel speakers.
