Honestly i've never noticed that before, I love those designs. Perhaps it helps that my 2002 is a Convertible! I try to keep the roof down as much as possible ;)
LOL

I had a 1998 Mustang GT-I loved the styling on it-it was first mustang to incorporate retro styling in a modern form. Performance wasn't anything to write home about though

I had a 2006 Mustang GT a few years later (had a 2002 SVT Focus in between the Mustangs-worst car I've ever owned) that blew both them completely out of the water.

I was dating someone who had a 2004 convertible then got a 2008 convertible GT-I couldn't believe how big of a difference the S197 made-zero cowl shake and the convertible felt like my hard top when you drove it.

Most seem to not know the difference between mid cycle refresh and next gen. Mid cycle is 2025. You will see small upgrades like rear vents, true ACC and lane centering, small body tooling changes maybe. Next gen 7G is 28/29. You won’t see any major powertrain changes like hybrid until then.

The Mach - E was never intended to be a “tribute” to the original nameplate. They are using it simply for marketing. And it seems to be working. So good for them.
We have one. It's an awesome vehicle. It is deserving of the mustang badging...it's faster than most any mustang on the road, it's highly manurable, it's very sharp looking, and it's just simply fun to drive....sounds like a mustang to me...

I'd assume the standard sports car version will go electric soon as the Mach E is selling well and performing even better than expected, except for those pesky recalls...but, early adapters know there will be issues...I have no complaints!

Nah… it is the best selling PHEV in North America and has been for most of this past year. I don’t know where you are getting your info from, but sales reports from the manufacturers and multiple news media outlets (including KBB) disagree with you.

That’s enough for Ford to pay attention for sure. Does it mean they’ll come out with a hybrid in the next 2-3 years or so? Maybe, maybe not. But they are definitely paying attention.
Eh, it's the only option. I keep thinking 20 miles real world electric and that's just a gimmick to me. No question, if you're driving 20-25 miles roundtrip in a day, it makes sense, but so does any electric or plug-in. The Crysler minivan goes more miles on electric than the Jeep. True, it's more utilitarian overall, but it's meant for being on the road. It has to be as the tires, if too large or all-terrain, will take the real-world mileage on electric to like 15 miles. It cannot go where a Jeep or Bronco are intended to go...the extra weight, lower profile, tire limitations, and more make it hard for off-road use.

With all this being said, it will sell as it's a Jeep, it looks like a Jeep, and it's got the cool hybrid feel to it. However, all those videos here with Broncos and Jeeps off-road and crawling...forget it.

I've not studied the Jeep hybrid, so I don't know exactly what type of hybrid it is. But whether it's a plug in hybrid, or a hybrid where the engine charges the battery doesn't make much of a difference in my book.

Either type adds weight and complexity for not much gain. And the cost to have a hybrid in the Bronco line adds cost to all trim levels.

I don't think Ford has stated what hybrid system will be used.
The 4xe is a plug-in hybrid, with a bunch of different modes that let you optimize the electric vs. ICE for different situations. I'm not saying it's the beat set-up, I just wanted to point out that it's not as simple as "a bunch of extra weight that runs out of juice before I hit the trail and doesn't benefit me after that".

This is 'Murica, where opinions are worth more than facts! What do you expect... For people to educate themselves before posting?

You must be talking about the 1974 - 1978 first gen Mustang II.

Not really- the Mustang II is pretty much derided by all Mustang fans, even though it was successful for Ford.

Plus how can you be retro if only only a few years removed from the classic?!

Yes, there will be a hybrid, est. MPG ~23. 40 inch tires will be standard on Sasquatch. Supposedly the wildtrak will come with a 1200 watt microwave, actually making the wildtrak worth something. Optional 6x6 trim too.

In all seriousness, no one knows man. Ford can’t even figure out how to ship all of the 21 models yet. Let alone think about a year from now.
We all know that microwaves are so yesterday's tech, it'll have an air fryer in the glove box...so you can do wings on the trail.

Im hoping for a refresh in 24….
Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Why in the hell would you want a refresh on a brand new vehicle when you probably don’t even have one yet? If you don’t like it, cancel your order.

Minor engineering adjustments, like MIC hard top, sure improve. Window adjustments to keep from wiggling, sure, but a refresh…..Come on?!?!?

Neither were retro, that did not enter the picture until the 2005 5th gen Mustang.

I dont even think God knows what Ford is doing right now. There's nothing to indicate a refresh and things are so crazy with parts right now that my gut tells me we'll wait until at least 2025 for that.

My thoughts would be that Ford would more than likely go after the EV crowd, than the hybrid crowd.... If anything at all right now. The weight of the Bronco would be a real battery killer so it would need one hell of a capacity.

Ohhh..... And they could give it a Frunk like the F150 lightning!

All BEVs are heavy-and the F-150 weighs as much if not more then a Bronco and it doesn't seem to impact its range in its form with as the Lightning BEV.
