From what I understand if you dont have a build date and know you are getting pushed to MY22...like myself. Then you will need to go in on the 13th and redo your order with the dealer.

Actually never as you have to do it with your dealer. It's not automatic.
Theoretically Ford, and presumably your dealer will notify you that it needs to be done, but it's not automatic.

Shouldn't. Reservation still matters (supposedly), and of course your place in line at your dealer and their allocations. Then of course commodity constraints, phase of the moon, recalls, etc...

Yes and no. New line, but same order with respect to your dealer. Reservation timestamp still takes priority.

If you know your reservation is late in the game is it gonna make a difference if you wait a few days after the main rush to place your order again?
What it looks like Ford has been doing for the Mach-E orders that fall in the same mY21-MY22 boat as our bronco orders is automatically duplicating the orders as MY22s with a priority code of 99 and leaving it up to the dealer/customer to make any adjustments and then change the priority code.
Plus we've ford telling dealers that they need to update unscheduled First Edition orders to a trim that has a MY22 equivalent

It is highly likely that pecking order for MY22 at the dealer relative to allocation will be reshuffled once the 99 coders are put back in the mix with the carry-over unbuilt units. The 99 coders regain their reservation position.
