2D fixed lid cargo enclosure able to open the lid?

I know this is not the smartest question, but having trouble finding details. Does anyone have any idea of how hard it is to open the lid, from the inside, on the fixed lid enclosure? Basically, I need the fixed lid enclosure(2D - the 4d version is raised lid enclosure) to secure stuff in cargo area as I have the top off all the time. The issue is I occasionall want to through the front MIC uppers in the rear cargo area and trying to find out how hard it is to make that change. It would have been awesome if there was a hinge and a way to unlock the lid from the inside, but my guess on this is at least 2-4 bolts have to be unscrewed. It would be nice to be able to still do this somehow when needed.

I ordered it and going to try and use wingnuts on the inside so I can still occasionally throw the front MIC pieces in the back when needed, etc.
