as my title says…

While checking tire-calc.com I was playing around with numbers and realized that a 315/70r16 comes out to 33.36” in diameter.

I’m scared of going with 35s because it might break the M190 but these would be a good compromise for the same amount of meat that I would get on 35x12.5r17 while still being 33.

What do y’all think?

I'm thinking that's going to be a tough fit on your Black Diamond wheels.

Oh they won’t fit at all rim diameter is different. I would buy new wheels for them.

Black Diamond factory wheels & tires weigh 74 pounds.

The factory steel wheel is 30 pounds.
The factory tire, General Grabber A/TX 265/70/R17 is 44 pounds.

Which brand of tire and model for the 315/70r16 tire are you looking at?

As long as the tire you want to purchase is under 44 pounds you should be fine.

I was looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T LT255/85R17 tires because they are 34.6" but they weigh a whopping 63 pounds. When I upgrade my tires I want to get tires that are the same weight as stock ones or less. You have people on this forum putting heavy tires on their Broncos not realizing how it's going to affect and damage their suspension over the long run.

Even the Sasquatch tires don't weigh 63 pounds, they are 52 pounds.

Who makes a 315/70/16?

How about looking at 255/85/16?
You’re right after further research there are no tires in that size. Mickey makes a 315/75r16 but that’s a 35 as well.

Ignore my question lol

I think I’m going to go with 286/75r17 or 305/70r17
