I currently have the BFG KO3s, and they have been great.. I recently did a long roadtrip with them and I averaged 18.2 mpg. That was with a little rain and passing.. we won’t disclose the speed lol..

So if you want a pretty good AT tire go with the KO3 as BFG has fixed some of the major issue the KO2s had.

This is where I disagree with you and the Horsey. If everyone would just "use the search" (just about every topic regarding Bronco has been discussed before), there will be no new posts, no new members, nobody to fuck with, and no fun. Dead forum. We absolutely need (mods would agree) traffic (revenue), and STUPID questions generate the most traffic (statistically proven). Stupid answers generate even more interest/reactions, so we need more stupid people, asking stupid questions, and wannabe comedians (like me), and The Asshats (like me) to post snarky, offensive, misogynistic, racist (well, maybe not racists) answers.
Stupidity pays the bills!
What gun safe should I put in my center counsel?

I hear the Milestar Patagonia's have weak sidewalls. Maybe steer clear of them if you're romping in some rocks.
I think any major tire manufacture makes a quality tire, Nitto, Toyo, General, Firestone, BFG, Maxxis, Goodyear, Cooper. They are what connect your vehicle to the road, after all.

I have the Firestone MT2's on mine and they've been great through everything. I like em.
Not being an ass, but you "hear" Pats have a weak sidewall?

I would 100% disagree with that after running the Pats on my Wrangler for the last 5 or 6 years. I've had them aired down to 15psi and crawled Uwharrie, St Mary's Glacier (in 2 feet of snow), Hurricane Creek, and other non-Rubicon or Moab trails and have never had a tire issue. It's actually nice that they were coming in a Load C or D variant. Nice road manners except in the rain. The Pats are a curved profile tire so it's quiet and only runs on the center part. So on a 38x13.5, the contact patch is only 7-8 inches wide depending on air pressure. On a flat profile tire, you would have a wider contact patch and more on-road traction.

TLDR: the Patagonias are a great tire if you do a lot of off-road. For street use, they are very quiet, but not great in the rain. Aired down, they are great in wet off-road situations and mud. Rocks are no problem. The wear is pretty high and I was getting like 20-25k miles, but they were half the cost of a BFG the last time I bought tires.

Not being an ass. Just contributing. I've read, heard about slashing sidewalls. Maybe guys are going full send. I don't have experience with them. Good to hear they hold up well.

Loaded question and a lot of threads about this topic. Whats your end goal use? 80/20 on/off road? Weight? Traction?

A lot of folks on here like BFG ATs, Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Mickey Thompson BAJA ATs and Falken Wildpeaks, amongst many others.

Sounds like it’s going to be hard to replace the light weight nature of the OEM Goodyear on the SAS, but there are plenty of better tires out there. I personally am going to switch to either BFGs or Mickeys when it’s time.
With white lettering for me. Heritage retro look. And a Starbucks☕ of course.

I like Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs.

What size are you running? I’m interested in the 35x12.50R17 but those won’t be available until next year according to their website. I just put them in my wife’s Jeep Grand Cherokee L and they are pretty awesome.

The real question is are you running a D rated tire IMO.

This right here, after a bad experience with ko2s C rated, my next option was a set or Toyo Open Country RT Trails D rated. The ride did not get harsh at all and road handling feels a lot more confident around a dry corner.
