I purchased the American adventure lab spare tire platform and the third brake light is in the way. I need to move it somewhere else. Are there any options other than the light up ring inside the spare? I hate the look of that

I forgot to mention my license plate is relocated to that spot above the rear camera. Otherwise that would be a great option

That's not legal. The 3rd brake light has to be above the spare tire on the Bronco (same on the Jeeps, it's why they are placed where they are placed)
depends on the state. Tennessee for example has no such rule.

but the suggestions to mount on the spare tire won’t be compatible if you run the recovery boards on the AAL STP like I do.

I used a rubber conduit from KC lights and extended the OEM 3rd brake light wiring up the hard top to a morimoto 5-stop light on my Trailrax roof rack. You could also mount it to your STP if you wanted, it’s kind of up to your imagination.

Mounted so high, I doubt anyone ever sees it .

A lot of the laws like 3rd brake light, back up camera & such apply to the manufacture. Though I like to be seen & not rear ended I bet you could ditch it all together & never get called on it.
$.02 YMMV

Not much higher than the top-of-cab third brake light of a full size truck. I wanted it not be obscured by the frontrunner wolf pack boxes I put on top. But I’ve got the hitch one too (partly for the reverse illumination).

but you could easily mount it to the STP, which would also avoid the issue of the wire going from swing gate, up the top and across.

Nice setup. This is exactly what I was looking for. Do you have a link to the parts you used?

Legal ?!? 😂. Anything “legal” Is optional in Nuevo Mejico. 🤣
Besides, everyone is driving under the influence, so lights are meaningless shiny entertainment for the locals.

The light is this Morimoto 5-stop: https://www.morimotohid.com/morimoto-5-stop-brake-light

I needed to cut the OEM third brake light wire connector because there’s not aftermarket connectors to mate with it. I used the deutsch connectors for my wire extension up. Example: https://a.co/d/1bk3gTn

Draw back here is those connectors are much larger than necessary, and I used two for a removable section - hard to hide them that big.

not sure what your plan is for mounting, but mine was on the Trailrax channels, which are compatible with the 25-series channel accessories from 80/20. I used the 90-degree brackets (25-4132) here’s a link: https://a.co/d/85Kpvrv

I used some M5 bolts to fasten light to bracket.

I hid the wires in the crossbar channel using the T-slot dust cover, like:
