$500 deposit to order?!

Anybody else being asked to pay $500.00 to order a 2022 Bronco? I'm going to the dealer tomorrow, and was told it'll be a $500.00 deposit, although Ford still says $100.00?!

Just make sure you get your agreed upon price in writing and have it signed by the dealership. The $500 is a small price to pay to keep yourself from taking it up the tailpipe come delivery time.

Yep, that's definitely going to happen, and I picked this dealer because they have no add ons and you pay MSRP, and thanks!

I did 100 to res then dealer asked for 400 to make it a $500 deposit pretty standard i have given a 500 deposit every time I have ordered a truck

$100 was for the reservation, $400 was for the deposit to order (for me personally). As long as it's refundable in case you want to back out later, and that the $500 goes towards the price of the car, that's pretty standard.

I had to put down $1400 in March 2021 when I converted my Bronco reservation to an order. Back in late 2012 when I ordered my Raptor, I had to put down $30K on the order b/4 it was even built. Back then the order was placed in late October and I had the Raptor delivered the second week of December. Things have sure changed!

same. for my most recent walk in it was $500, thats just the dealerships policy on any vehicle order. The $100 was only for online reservations when they first opened up.

I was told that a $1000 was standard at my Dealer, though I'm in Canada and he said it was fully refundable.

$500 is the standard deposit to order or even to hold one thats in transit to the dealer. Just make sure that the deposit goes towards your actual purchase price and confirm purchase price wont be marked up
