When this all started Ford wanted to be more open and let us Have a tracker and all that, now that there are problems they all of a sudden don't want to communicate.

The ETA date for mine has disappeared from the tracker and the internal tracker no longer calls out "Traced Unit" for ETA Disposition. Progress? Who knows.

I’m sure this doesn’t mean anything, but in today’s episode of “Whose Tracker is This Anyway?” it no longer even has the line for expected delivery. This week I’ve gone from N/A to 7/28/21 to N/A to literal nothing.
Same, no line for it anymore

I went through the same hassle with my wife's Focus RS and it wasn't fun. While I greatly appreciate the information you're providing the problem is we shouldn't have to rely on you. Ford should be able to articulate a plan for impacted builds and communicate it through the official channels instead of leaving everyone in the dark to speculate. Some parts of the car manufacturing process, in this case communication, are so antiquated. It's like Ford is thinking they're saving face and protecting the Bronco image by not being transparent but in reality they're looking like a bunch of clowns.
I completely agree with you that the communication on this has been unacceptable. Honestly they could have avoided all this with a simple email and im sure there are members from Ford's communication team that monitor this forum, its not like its small.
All I can say is in most of the automotive world there is a clash of old school vs new school; slide rule vs CAE; V8 vs electric; silence vs social media, and that may be where we are at the moment. But I'm also going to guess there is the whole "if you give a mouse a cookie..." problem that they may not want to deal with.

It means it was never supposed to be there, just a bug.

The original post in this thread also oozed with optimism. Hooray 6/30 blends! Let’s see who gets theirs the fastest.

The lack of transparency is what kills me. Take a moment to think about how much crap Ford dealers have received on this forum because they don't communicate or aren't transparent with the order process. No one defends the dealer, and Ford shouldn't be exempt to criticism for how they are handling this.

Most of you know that I am a dealer, and I can't imagine treating a customer this way. Transparency and communication are the easiest ways to gain trust, and in an industry where pricing is almost the same, that is how you separate yourself from the rest.

I am sure that I speak for most of us when I say, that if Ford were to come out today and officially tell us why our orders are delayed and present a plan for how they will resolve the issue, we would be happy to wait for our Broncos. A few days, a week, or a month, it doesn't matter, just as long as we understand what's happening.

Our demo Bronco is here at our store, and it is great to be able to see it and have our order holders drive it, but trying to explain this order process is getting to a point where I can no longer confidently say how things will unfold. Even if your order is pulled, scheduled, bucked, sent to plant, and produced, there is still no clear and effective way to say "Hey, your bronco will be here (Insert week)".

I hope that Ford fixes its production issues, and works to improve its communication with customers, but it is too early to tell. I have so much respect for Ford, and I couldn't be happier with how they brought the Bronco back, but at some point they can't keep relying on hype to mask mistakes. Someone within Ford needs to take a step back and realize that this is being run poorly, and work to improve the order process.

That is all I have for today, and I apologize for the long-winded post, but tomorrow is another day for things to turn around for us.

So its really going to depend on if the units being held are a mixed bag of good and bad or if they all have already failed inspection. Also whether or not Ford just decides to not risk it and replace all the hardtops. My theory is that they used a suspect batch of parts to keep the line running back at the end of June when everyone seems to have been held, based on what one of the other members found out from people inside MAP that the vehicles are "waiting on inspection" that would seem likely.

Mod centers are normally fairly large, not sure on MAP but lets say 50 bays and they always have the option to bring in a big free standing tent to make a temporary mod center. With some of the YouTube videos showing how you can easily remove the hardtop in 10 minutes they could churn these out and I think they will want to. I dont see why 500 per day isnt possible even running at low capacity as long as they have the parts.
Thank you. This has been one of the most comprehensive and honest explainations and framework of a plan that we have heard yet. If 3 weeks ago, Ford had communicated to the dealers something like this that they could relay onto only those who had an affected build, this thread would be 25 pages max. The lack of communication and transparency is 5x more frustrating than the wait itself.

When my 06-28 build date got pushed to 07-23 I was pretty disappointed. Then when my 07-23 date got pushed back up to 06-28 I was so happy. Then when my dealer told me it was showing "produced" on 06-29 I was excited thinking I'd be driving my Bronco by the beginning of August. Silly me

Lol, same. I thought it was fools gold when I got bumped up. Then my dealer called to tell me it would be here in 2 weeks. Good times

My original was week of 6/14, then it got pushed to 7/12, then I though the same when it got pulled back to 6/21. If it was 7/12 I would probably have it by now!

Just want to say thanks to @aj_benedetto and @Hailalien for bringing the insight here. It's appreciated! I think we can all agree that Ford's communication could certainly use some improvements, regardless of all the other stuff.
