Recovery boards mounted on Pak Rax

it took a little work to figure out how to mount the recovery boards on the pak rax, but im pretty happy with the results.
i just got some carriage bolts, and twist handles from the hardware store. recovery boards from amazon.

Nice, looks like they were made to be there. Making a mental note of this as I plan to purchase a TrailRax roof rack eventually.

yes they are, and love them to death

i believe they were 4" - 3/8

Have you had a chance to use them offroad yet? Only thing holding me back from buying them is they're not frame mounted.

i have not tried off road yet. i originally wanted to help keep rocks from hitting the doors from the tires. sorry i cant help more.

So it looks like you mounted one board on each side? Can the tailgate fully open with the one on the passenger side, or only to 90 degrees or less before the board gets in the way?
