Traction boards mounted on TrailRax PaxRat

I love my TrailRax and the PaxRat option! However, when I started to mount my RotoTrax boards, they extended into the door opening on my Raptor. I contacted TrailRax and they didn't have a solution.

I needed to move the mounts rearward and there wasn't enough real estate on the PaxRat. I searched the web but, apparently, I am the only one that has this issue. I found Rotopax's universal mounting plate on their site. After doing making some measurements, it looked like it might work. I ordered one and It turned out to be the solution I needed.

I can now mount the traction boards and also stack a 2 gallon water container on top of the boards which was my goal.

Trailrax offers that mounting option. Not sure why they didnt tell you. Likely because you are not using Maxtraxx I guess.

That's interesting!
It's a shame that Trailrax didn't mention their optional plate but maybe it doesn't fit well with the Rotopak mounts & RototraX. But the $150 lower price of the Rotopak universal mount would keep me away from the Trailrax option anyway.
