Ya alternator went. And I took both doors off before going for a highway cruise since the weather was nice.

3rd ford and was the first time i had to use ford roadside which was very painless to use.
was an extremely fun time though

X2 on size of tires and are the fender flares regular or Sasquatch flares? I’ve heard some say 35” or larger tires with regular flares might be an issue while flexing.

Sucks about the ending and the tow.
Wonderful about the fun had to get it there.
Bonus fun that it goes to the dealer in that condition.
Im sure the tech will love it.
(Not busting on the techs, been there, done that. Working on extremely muddy stuff is not “livin’ the dream”.)
If you wheel and do your own wrenching, it’s going to happen.
Right proper mud bath you gave her, too.

its easy to prevent this, what i do, is bring extra water. and after some heavy mud, rinse your alternator just enough to remove extra mud, in the trail, once you get home, rinse it again until it stops complaining, its not the best fix, but it will prevent excess mud inside of it . so far so good
