There are currently 4,376 total retail unscheduled orders as of 12/18/23.

Retail USOB: Is the current mix of retail orders in the unscheduled order bank (USOB) at the time the report was run. The report only looks at orders that are “clean”, meaning they do not have a compatibility error, material hold or on 99 priority code.

See previous commodity report.

Interesting that retail and stock order banks were closed for the Heritage but the total went from 490 to 492.

So if we have a VIN & scheduled production week, our order is not part of this report (unscheduled order bank). Is that correct?

The USOB acronym stands for UnScheduled Order Banks, which is a snapshot of the orders that have been placed but not yet scheduled.
So by definition if an order is scheduled, it is not included in this count of unscheduled orders.

I’m obviously reading too much into this chart.
I’m new here and have been following the weekly restriction with interest.
Based on 8000 vehicles per month from previous production capacity. USOB numbers are almost half of the capacity.
Using the Total hard top capacities of 67% = 5360 tops per month. More than enough for USOB for the following production period.
All commodities seem to fall within capacities if retail orders (end user customers) are put ahead of dealer stock orders.
what am I missing?

Thanks. I know that was a painfully obvious question. LOL. Just wanted to be for sure. I will ignore these reports going forward. :)

Is it true that Ford changed their policy for 2024 MY vehicles that dealers can place a priority between 03-19 on retail orders? The previous practice was 10-19 AFAIK. Seems like this could be abused by dealers if it's true and the dealer priority of 03 trumps other dealer's 10.

Clarifying my previous comment .... without Ford regional reps involved. Can dealers set priority to 03 on retail orders without any involvement or approval from Ford? I know there were exceptions for certain situations like unfulfilled, rollover orders from 2023 but I'm talking about totally new 2024 orders.

You are right, they could knock off all the unscheduled retail orders in about a month if all the capacities are met, which for the most part they are, except for some specialized orders such as Heritage that take the modular white top.
that’s assuming not too many new retail orders come in since order banks are still open for trims other than Heritage.
Next scheduling will probably cover March production dates and most of the unscheduled retail orders will be scheduled, then we will start to see a glut of dealer stock orders on sales lots with discounts and special financing.

Mine is a priority 3 but I'm still waiting to be scheduled. Order #0005.

priority are only relevant for orders at the same dealer, another dealer's priority codes have no impact on orders and priorities at another dealership.

Thanks. That was my understanding as well which is why it seemed nonsensical for dealers to be able to set priority of 3. They could set them all to 3 and they'd still get scheduled no faster than another dealer at all 19 or all 10, all else being equal with commodities and allocations.

So I am not alone, there are 4,375 like me out there. I thought I picked a high-volume dealer, but I guess not as high as those that got scheduled right away.

You're definitely not alone, I'm right there.
I don't know if I chose a high volume dealer or not, there's only 2 in my state.
It does seem though not many if any with my spec have been scheduled.
Obx with lux, SAS and mic, all 3 high ticket options.

Two?! That pretty much narrows down what New England state you are in.
I went with Portsmouth, NH Ford, probably not the largest in the state, but most likely in the top three.
I also went Obx, SAS, MIC...I'm a glutton for punishment.

Haha, yah RI.
IMO no point ordering if you're not gonna get exactly what you want.
