I plan on mounting mine up front as well.

Have you had any RF noise into the radio when running the LED lights so close to the antenna?

Thanks for any feedback!

Brahian, thanks for the additional information. So I see the connection is a good weatherproof and secure connection which is great. Now my comment is purely aesthetic and mainly applies to ditch lights where the wiring is in obvious sight. Do you make a connection that looks more "finished"? Having the 3 individual wires exposed coming out of the Deutsch connector in plain view would be unacceptable to me. Perhaps the OP can add some wire loom or black heat shrink?

For comparison here's a pic of the back of my RC ditch/A-pillar lights which use a pigtail to a weather proof connection. (Pease excuse the rust on the bolt! I need to change them out.)

If I was making a light, I would take note of the above picture. That looks much better. Not just cleaner but it looks like it will last much longer than an external clip.
Most of our lighting comes with a 6-inch pigtail extending from the light, just like the one shown in the picture. We understand that you may prefer a more aesthetically pleasing option and appreciate your feedback. The deutsch is primarily used because it makes the light easier to service and ensures reliability. However, if you’d like a cleaner look, you can always purchase a pigtail adapter or use shrink tubing as an alternative. (y)

Best,

Can I ask what bumper you have?
Stock modular bumper. SVP triple fog light bracket. 3 Baja Designs Squadrons will fit but 3 Diode Dynamics will be partially blocked because they are .25" bigger

Thanks so much for the info, would you know how my Zroadz pod lights would or would not fit?

Depends on their size. If they are larger than 3” they will be blocked. Diode Dynamics are 3.25”

Best,
Love my BD Squadrons I run in the bumper. Top shelf quality for sure. Those have pigtails and weatherpack connectors.

Hey @Scoop, two suggestions for cleaning up the aesthetics.

I wrapped all my winch wiring in MGI Speedware wire loom. They have various diameters and being split loom is easy & fast to install. Provides abrasion resistance and heat resistant to 302 degrees.

I also ordered some TESA tape. This is a cloth type tape that I’ve used to wrap smaller diameter wires to give abrasion resistance, same 302 degree heat protection and just clean things up to look “factory”. It doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue like electrical tape. I also used it to secure the ends of the MGI wire loom so things were nice & secure.

Here’s a few pics. You can see in a few I stopped short intentionally to leave the red heat shrink boots visible for easy ID.
