They fit fine in the dash. I put Focal ACX in the pods because I read the C1s don’t quite fit. C1 in front and Focal in rear is a great combination.
Yes, this is basically true. No problems fitting them in the front dash at all. Not sure why they say that... For the rear pods it is a very tight fit. I got mine in but the tweeters do push slightly on the grill. You can see it bulge out slightly but other than that I say they fit. I am probably the only one that notices it.

Is there bolts in the top part of the center cover back by the mounting bolt? Or the mounting bolt itself needing to come out?

There are 2 bolts on each side of the accessory mounting hole. Once those are out, you can pop the cover off but be careful with the USB cable/plug.

I was just going to add… wtf ford, why use a torx in that spot? Another 7m bolt would have been so much better.

Here is a quick guide to removing the center dash speaker cover for the B&O system:

1. Remove the "Accessory Ready" stand with Torx T-20
2. Start prying with prying tool from the outer top edges gently until clamp comes out
3. Pry the side closest to the accessory ready area from the sides until they lift up but isn't fully out
4. Push the USB charger inwards towards yourself, then lift it to snap out.
5. Repeat same process in reverse to install again

FYI I have an extra JL Audio C1-400X speaker brand new in box from the two pairs I bought from Crutchfield (Only needed 3). $50 shipped lower 48 states

Anyone still got an extra dash speaker to sell?
I got a brand new pair of ACX 100 4" that never have been installed for either the front dash or rear pods that you can use if you are interested.

Did you have any clearance issues with the grille when you put it back on? I see where Crutchfield says this speaker won't work in the dash corners due to height. Any issue there with grille? Still got the single speaker?
Thanks!

No clearance issue, you just need to plug in the speaker to the adapter first, tuck the adapter in, and then twist the speaker from side to side until the clears the plastic edges to sit flush and screw down. No issue with new speaker touching the cover either after install.

I was reading that changing the speakers dont make a huge difference unless the amp is upgraded also? Are you guys doing both or finding good results just doing the speakers?
