So which one do you use for your off road adventures?? I never have had one myself but now I am interested in recording my adventures.

I've had earlier versions of the GoPro and they work well. After getting into drones and other action cams I wanted to focus on using one mfg and their apps so I went with DJI products. The DJI Osmo Action works very well.

There are a lot of GoPro Osmo comparisons on YouTube.

I currently use a gopro hero 2,445,775,332 (joke), have always had overheating issues over the years with different models. Just recently used an aluminum skeleton body while mounted on the dash. And I even run the defrost and finally can run it all day if needed.

Thinking about trying the DJI as someone mentioned above as I had the Air 2s and now the Mavic. Seen some good reviews on it.

Which one? CAMCooler?

I'm annoyed by the GoPro 11 shutting down after an hour or two here in Florida... even after I cool it in my large cooler it will shutdown again in an hour.

I ended up purchasing the DJI osmo action 4 and use a skeleton body, haven't needed to run the defroster yet but summer is coming. I run this all day on the trail non stop with no issues.

I don't think it matters on the brand as long as its aluminum but this is what I purchased:

I switched to Insta360 after getting fed up with the grainy footage from my old setup, especially in low light. It mounts easily, battery life’s been solid so far, and the stabilization is on point even on rough trails. You can check them out here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Insta360/page/2A4E9629-9C41-48D0-B37A-F3A6CF3D74D9. I’ve been happy using it for both trail runs and daily driving clips.

Go pro hero 8 is the standard that all others are judged by.

After all the overheating with the newest GoPros, I moved to a Osmo 4 last summer and it can record 2+ hours without overheating.

As I test I turned both the GoPro 11 and Osmo4 on at the same time at home indoors (at 72F) and the GoPro shut off before 40mins while the Osmo4 was running/recording well after 2hours. Same in the Bronco.
