Adding a sub to existing system with B&O

Hello. We just received our 2023 Bronco outer banks with the B&O sound system. the sound it is pretty loud and sounds pretty good despite the bad reviews all over. But i would like to add more bass to the system. I have a JL self power box that i want to mount on the back door. I will add some pics . I hope someone can guide me on this. Appreciate the feed back.

So the subwoofer outputs from the factory amplifier needs to be spliced into the "High-Level Inputs" on your JL Audio box.

One the factory wiring...

• Green/Yellow: Positive
• Black/Purple: Negative

Done.

Do you know if the oem sub get 2 ohms or 4 ohms. That won't matter when i splice the wires to my JL box right ?.

The OEM sub has 4Ω voice coils.

It shouldn't matter, although admittedly I'm not familiar with that exact JL Audio sub.

Hi. I finally got around to add the subwoofer to my bronco. It was confusing at first. but i did more research and i was able to to figure out. I will add pictures. I tried hook up from the factory sub to my Amp on the high inputs. That did worked. Then i tried hook up to the low signal with RCA's and that worked but i had to turn the sensitivity all the way down. This Is how i hooked up: the factory sub have 4 wires (2 on each side of the sub) so I hooked up the 2 RCA's one on each side and connected to my Amp. Still have to turn the sensitivity all the way down. Now i have a lot of bass. I think too much now lol. I will get a bass control to decrease the bass. It made a huge difference. Well check out the pictures and if you guy have any question let me know.

Curious if the panels before 2023 had this deadener on the back of the trim or not. Seems it might be easier just to put KM on the back of this trim than it is and all the spots.

What was the build date of your Bronco ? Looks like the new B&O subwoofer has color coded connectors versus older pictures from 2022 where the B&O subwoofer showed +/- on the connectors - Would be curious if the subwoofers between 2022 and 2023 on the B&O are actually different ? Anyone know ?
