Air Recirculating Button

I'm sorry if I'm posting on a wrong section as I'm not familiar with this site.

I just want to know if anyone else has this issue.

The recirculate button keeps turning off, usually if the temperature set is not on MAX AC, it will open every minute to 15 minutes.
If the temperature is on LO, it will still open every minute to 15 minutes.
If the button for MAX AC is on, the light shows that it's on, but will open roughly every hour or two.

It's not hot enough for me to run MAX AC all the time in my area and the outside air in this sanctuary city just smells like homeless piss.

Anyone find a fix, or even have this problem?

Don’t have a fix, and unfortunately it’s a normal function of the Bronco.

Sorry to hear about the air quality in your town, that smell is restricted to a one block area in my town.

Opposite problem. I do not like recirc, but in the heat it defaults to recirc at start up. So I push it at each start up and get the ASS button while I'm at it.

You really let me down. I expected the next paragraph to be a request for the VIN number so that Ford could start a ticket to get the dealership to look into the air quality.

Its part of the design. From what Ive read other ford vehicles do it as well. It doesnt matter if its on or off it will cycle itself. Im not sure why ford does this but its annoying. What bothers me most is when Im on the road at 75mph with the lowest setting on recirc then it opens and the air speed picks up and blows harder

Exactly! Suddenly a rush of air comes in and then pressing recirculate doesn't help!

If you turn it off then back on itll go back

Never does it to me in the summer. Recirc stays on all the time. But in the winter recirc will turn off about every 60 seconds. Most annoying "feature" I've ever had in a car and that's including automatic start/stop.

I turned on Recirc just to keep some of the dust from the road I was on out of the cab. Kept turning off on me too. Pretty lame.
