Keeping my 2001 7.3l F250 Powerstroke - the iconic big Ford Truck.
Has 280,000 miles and on third transmission.
Pretty stock except ARE cap, Warn winch and bull bar and steps.
When you need a truck, you need a TRUCK.

So, no, we’re not crazy

Heck no, I'm not getting rid of my truck! Couldn't replace it. It's a 2000 F450 7.3 PSD 6 sp manual with a pickup bed conversion, so unlike the factory F450 pickups it has the bigger frame and massive brakes, 14.5" front and 15.5" rear, plus 72 gal fuel and a full air bag rear suspension (no leaf springs) so it rides so much better. And 54k original miles. I thought about selling it when I bought the motorhome and get less truck to tow the boat, but no way, gotta hang on to it.

😁

Not a daily driver, it's a play truck. I haul a Lance camper and tow my Jeep or rock buggy or race car in a trailer. And I used to have a 5th wheel RV trailer, and tow my boat. I ended up buying a 40ft DP motorhome, so the truck mostly just gets used to tow the boat a few ties a year and move the trailer around town occasionally. Once in awhile I decide to do a Jeep trip with the Lance instead of the motorhome, but mostly just take the MH since I have it. And, you know, you always have a little something to do with a truck. This truck will last virtually forever. :giggle:

No way could I exist without an F150. Have your wife price out what a similar truck is going for. I am confident your F250 will remain part of the household.

yes she know that's why I still haven't replaced it. I think to build as close to what i have was about $75,000. But I may once I fully pay for the bronco. I will need to replace it at some point rusting will be an issue do to all the salt on the roads here had to replace all the bed supports last summer they rusted to nothing
