Here at 4x4TruckLEDs.com we get a lot of questions about WHAT are the best powered running boards to get. There are a few different options. We only sell one brand of electric running boards, AMP Research.
AMP Research are basically THE go to powered running board in the industry, and for good reason. AMP Research invented and patent the powered running boards many many years ago. They know what they are doing.

Basically if you live in a COLD environment that gets a lot of snow and ice you can't go wrong with the PowerStep XTreme. These feature dual motors on each side. If you want to save money and don't have concerns with snow/ice build up then the classic Powersteps are for you (you can also do the PowerStep Smart Series which add-on an app-based control in case you ever want to deploy them from a phone).
