Likely no "off-road" was intended. Just going from home to work, cruising around on the weekends and on some vacations.

Not everyone goes on or is looking to go "off-road". His build is an OBX, non-Sas and Lux. That combo makes perfect sense to cross-shop a Beemer.

Me, I AM going camping and off-road. How intense? Undecided - but definitely more than my current ride can go. And I NEED a high ride. When I was a kid, I was speed and sports cars (RX7, Z28) but there is too much traffic for me to find ANY enjoyment in a low riding vehicle.

But that is why we have choices.

My Bronco is my 50th birthday present, too. Except it seems unlikely the Bronco will arrive before I have another birthday - or 2... or maybe 3...

@ELKS1 I probably would have enjoyed it for 3 months, but then I would have wanted a sporty, luxurious-ish sedan again. Me wanting a Bronco really didn’t make sense given my driving profile. I’m just glad I realized that before I signed on the dotted line.

God no. Its the 3.0L Twin Turbo tha the Audi Q7 comes with. Its a nice engine..

My only issues have been "smart car" related. Failing cameras, that type of thing. Mechanically its a champ.

It's not...it's totally different. The Bronco was my attempt to do something different and I realized at the very end (delivery by the end of this month) that it wouldn't work for me.

Not a typo…add 300 miles of gas engine range and that’s something I can live with. Again, 90% of my trips are within those 20 miles.

not my thing, but great cars, plus my dad was born in Munich, so it's family. If you ever get a chance to go to Munich, visit the BMW museum, well worth it. And they drive great, just need an Autobahn to fully enjoy IMO. Or fun winding mountain roads, if that's something you have close by. They drive like on rails.
