I'll be moving to Katy next month. I'm getting a hood deflector but I'm wondering if I should change insurance companies for better windshield coverage? USAA makes you pay your full deductible which has already bit me with two other vehicles.

Do yall see a lot of rocks being thrown up on the roads there?

Just don’t drive behind 18-wheelers or cement trucks ever and you’ll be set😬

It's not so much the rocks, but the ladders and mattresses that'll get you!

I don't think windshield film is going to help with those!

Lol, no it wouldn't

I've been in the area, but don't live there. I think its going to depend a lot on where you drive. The highways there did have a bit of gravel and rocks on them, especially as you're going towards Houston.

I'd either change insurance companies or get one of the DIY kits from grab gard. I'd price both out and compare to see which makes more sense.

Houston is notorious for spools....especially on I-10
