Anybody else get this email from Ford that I think is a scam?

Not sure what kind of scam, or why. But I got this invite to a local ORV park to drive the Bronco. So I signed up, seemed legit enough. But when I went to log in to see more details, it won't let me. A message comes up in red that says I've already used that username.

So I looked at McCleary's web site. No mention at all of any events in January on their calendar. I called their number and got a message saying the park was closed for the season.

So I sent an email the the "Drive the Bronco" people asking why I couldn't log in. A few days later, 6 pm on Saturday night( New Years Day), I got a reply asking which venue I had signed up for.

It just seems fishy.
Anybody else get this email?

I figure I'll call Ford later when I have time to be on hold for a while.

Eric, if you would do me a favor when you get there I would appreciate it. Tell them there are actual people in the southeast that have ordered a Bronco, and would love to have any opportunity they can get to test drive a Bronco.

Just kidding, but it does seem like Ford has forsaken the entire southeastern part of the U.S. Enjoy the day.

I went and it was pretty much what I expected. The loop takes like 45 minutes and was really basic. It was pretty much mud with some whoops thrown in. I did get to use trail turn assist multiple times and it is awesome.
I drove a non-SAS OB with rear locker. We turned it on, but it wasn’t really ever needed. As basic as the course was I was actually impressed with the OB. Way more capable than I gave it credit for. It was a 2.3 auto and it didn’t seem to be lacking in power.
They had a BL with upgraded wheels, a BB, and WT in two and four door models. One stick. My suggestion is to either email them and request what vehicle you want or get there early. You also get a hat. It was well run, but it is less than an hour of drive time before the next group shows up.

The hat was worth it. The trail won’t challenge a badlands

I did it at Hollister Hills back in November. It was alright. If you have already done the offroadeo, maybe don’t bother going too far out of the way for it. They do give you a free hat.
