Curtis: I can appreciate that you've sold a considerable amount of these billet side steps and congratulate you for that and for offering a quality product. I can also appreciate the difficulties operating in this crazy supply chain atmosphere right now.
Having said that, how about providing a realistic estimate of delivery timeframe for an order placed in early January? It's nice knowing you have regular deliveries of product arriving at your shop and that you're working hard to get orders shipped, but that doesn't translate into an approximation of when the side steps might be delivered without knowing whether there might be 10 orders or 10,000 orders ahead of me.
All I'm asking for is a realistic estimate of delivery in weeks based on you knowing your order backlog. I have an upcoming trip in April, and if these won't arrive by then I want to look at a plan b. I appreciate your consideration of this request.
You have 10999 orders ahead of you

I own several businesses. I've never given a customer a date I couldn't meet, and I would never consider joking about the fact that I lied and missed a promised delivery date by 2 months (and counting). I always make it a point to underpromise and overdeliver. I would feel ashamed of myself if I did the opposite, but I guess that basic business ethic doesn't occur to everyone. I really can't believe that you then attempt to brag about the "quality" of products you can't deliver.

I'll be spending my weekend looking for alternatives since I need steps and you shamefully can't deliver what you promised. The least you could do is apologize for lying to your customers instead of bragging about a product that hasn't been delivered 2 months passed when it was supposed to be delivered. While Ford failed to deliver on their promises, they at least apologized and never turned around and bragged about the "quality" of a product they failed to deliver.

I'm happy that my machined set is on the way!!

OT - Forums are an interesting study of human character. Many comments are made that would probably not be made if identities were clear and never would be made face to face.
I've noticed that a lot of the vitriol comes from people who seem to be able to write but not read.
The "ignore" option comes in very handy !!

I hesitate, not because of delivery timeliness and all that other hot mess; but because if I understand correctly the 4 door cost would be close to $800!

Just seems a touch high for me right now. I will wait and keep looking. But definitely have their website bookmarked.
I'm working on ways to get the manufacturing costs down. There is a lot of work that goes into the STIRRUPS. One set (pair) consists of 10 billet machined parts, 16 stainless bolts of various lengths and diameters, and 4 rubber isolation pads. We perform QA/QC of the entire assembly and final packaging in house.

With the new CNC machine running in the shop, we'll be machining these on site. This will cut lead times down tremendously. Couple that with the machine we have being a 'Super Speed' it will blow through 6061 like a hot knife through butter that was left on the counter all morning. This will cut machining time down to a fraction of what it is now. Machine time is a substantial portion of the overall cost. Local powdercoating and logistics will get so much easier. Give us about 30 days to get this all spooled up. 2 Door and 4 Door MAGNUM will be in production soon!

Some folks have received and installed these, and early feedback is positive. The photos look very nice.

Anyone have thoughts on how well the Stirrups work for their intended purpose? Does the height you chose make step in easier for you and family members? How does the surface texture work with the boots/shoes you wear? Does the size seem right? Are they useful when dismounting?

There’s general agreement so far that the form and the craftsmanship are great, now let’s hear about the function!

AR | STIRRUP®

Pre-orders are now shipping!

==========================================================

The BRONCO community asked for it and we went to work! After reviewing what was shared from last year's SEMA Bronco, there was plenty of room for improvement, both in design and function.

Made from a sizeable chunk of 6061 billet, the STIRRUP is very beefy part and it will look right at home on an overland build, trail conquering rig, or your daily driver. It's five inches of width will give your boot or shoe a proper platform to assist you in climbing up in the saddle. The entire part is coated in RAL 9011 Graphite Black, then post machined to remove the coating from the top surface and reveal the raw billet aluminum and provide a very classy contrast. This will also give the STIRRUP years and years of rugged good looks. The more you step on the the more naturally worn the aluminum will look but it won't affect the Graphite Black coating.

The STIRRUP is mounted to your OEM rocker rail with M8 and M10 316 stainless fasteners. A single M8 bolt alone has 110,000 PSI tensile strength! The STIRRUP is definitely more solid than the rail it's mounted to. With its coating and the use of aluminum and stainless, the STIRRUP will require little maintenance and it will last the life of your Bronco.

The STIRRUP will be sold in pairs. This will also be a BRONCO6G exclusive part, at launch, and B6G members will always be eligible for the 20% discount. We're going to handle the purchasing a little differently this time....

AR | STIRRUP Clamp Bracket

Renders are below. The Clamp Bracket is standard. Both the 2" drop location and standard height (more even with the top of the OEM slider, are available on the Clamp Bracket.

Pricing:

Retail price for the AR | STIRRUP is $494.43

BRONCO6G members are eligible for a 20% discount, making the price per pair: $395.55

Any idea on when we’ll be able to see the Magnums?

And will we be able to switch to the Magnums if the smaller stirrups haven’t been shipped yet?
