Arizona Superstition Loop Closed

I went to run the Superstition Loop and other trails in Gold Canyon today and there are dirt borders in the way of every trailhead. Anyone know what this is all about? I was there a few months ago and none of this was there.

Yes, multiple Superstition Loop trails in Arizona are closed due to fire or other reasons, including:

Superstition Lone Pine Loop: Closed due to fire or increased fire risk as of September 2024. This loop starts at the Peralta trailhead and heads north up a valley with rock features.

Hieroglyphic Trail to Petroglyphs: Closed indefinitely after the Siphon Fire damaged the southern part of the Superstition Ridgeline.

Superstition Peak 5057 (South Ascent Route): Closed.

Superstition Ridge Loop: Closed, and the gates are closed at 8 PM.

Superstition Peak 5024 via Siphon Draw Trail: Closed.

Check Tonto National Forest website and Facebook. The just posted some openings today.
