What are people using for the auto stop disable? I've been hitting the button, but it's annoying to do that every time. Any of the products worth it?

I recently used Forscan to disable it, and it worked great. But I already had the cable and software for other purposes. I'd recommend that route if you are technically inclined because it gives you the ability to fix a half dozen other things that bug people about the Bronco.

If that sounds like more trouble than you are looking for then look into the physical hardware option called Autostop Eliminator. Good luck!

I have a auto stop eliminator I bought a month or so ago. I’m not going to use it. Didn’t open the pack yet. If interested dm me. Will give you a great deal on it. Auto stop works great for watching deer. Like how it shuts off the engine when you stop to watch.

Forscan will disable it if you know what you’re doing. I spent $99 on a plug in device that I had the guys who installed my stereo system hook up, since they had the dash torn apart anyway. It’s the most annoying feature on new vehicles that’s serves zero purpose.

I've had the autostop on my F-150 for 5 years. Works great. Will get one for the Bronco when it comes in. I don't like the wear on the starter and battery every time you stop, pain in the butt.

I put the autostop eliminator in mine, I'm not sure how the forscan works, but the ASE basically gives it the ability to remain functional if you want it, so say you take it the dealer, you may want it on.

Same, running ASE in two vehicles…works as intended and easy install.

I’ve gotten into the habit of pushing the start button then simply moving over to the auto start button and pushing it. It’s automatic for me now.

OP, although not answering your question directly, I'll offer the following. My last four cars came w/ auto stop/start. Absolutely hated it at first, but after five years I don't even notice it. When it's really hot and shuts off at a stop light I may turn the function off to keep a/c cold. But otherwise no problem. And who knows, maybe I've saved 3 gallons of gas in those five years and 80k miles, so I'm doing my part. :)

Enjoy your Bronco

I also have the Autostop Eliminator and love it. Best part is it just makes the vehicle remember what setting you have it on, so it'll stay off as long as you want it to but if you ever want to turn it on again it's still functional.

Ditto with everyone else on Auto Stop Eliminator. Only took 15 minutes to install (video on the web site) and haven't worried about hitting that ASS button again.
