Like a good Bronco owner, and against my better judgement, I had my backup camera replaced in my 2022 Bronco a few months back. Ever since the dealer replaced it, all I see in my screen now when I go into reverse is half of my spare tire and half road. I am lifted with 35" tires and a 0 offset. Never had this issue before the replacement. I have been going back and forth with the dealer who insists this is normal and how the view was before. Not the case. I also had to argue with them about calibrating the camera to align the dotted lines to not be disjointed. After 3 visits to the dealership, looks like that may finally be fixed.

To me, it seems like the camera is angled down more than my original camera. My husband has made the same comment about the one that was put in as the replacement for his F-250 recall.

Has anyone else had an issue similar to this and if so, how did you remedy it?

I saw your post while I was waiting for my Bronco to have the camera recall done. Mine is a 2023 Badlands with the 33” tires and stock suspension. On the drive home, I stopped and decided to check the rear camera and also see a small bit of the tire that I did not see before:

In the rear view, its just a shadow sliver on the bottom

In the wide rear view, I can see my tire sidewall:

I honestly don’t recall using the wide rear view before so I don’t know how it looked before. But that doesn’t seem right.

I haven’t used the wide view either. Here is what mine looks like in standard view.

Shoot - I wish i had photos of what my 360 camera views were before doing the recall. I honestly don’t remember well enough what they each looked like before. I”ll have to take mine to a parking lot or crosswalk to check the other views.

Since yours has a lift, I wonder if that messes with the camera recalibration routine that may assume a stock ride height? I dunno how that is done at a dealer.

@Ducati1098 any thoughts on this or have you seen this problem come up?

Not something I’ve seen personally. But I can try and look into it.
Mine still has the original camera and I also have 0 offset wheels. So I can get a picture of what mine looks like in the morning.

@mbelding816 post a picture of the back of your Bronco/spare tire area.. and then also a close up picture of the camera lens. Maybe it’s just not mounted correctly?

If you delete that pesky tire you won't have this problem.

Your bird's eye view definitely looks distorted. I checked mine and it looks ok, so I’m guessing my rear view hasn’t actually changed from before.

how much lift does your Bronco have? I wonder if that might mess up the calibration, but if it’s not extreme, maybe the camera just isn’t mounted correctly like Ducati98 suggested.
