Really the "safest" way to do it is a propane system run to your exhaust tips. At least safest for the operation of the Bronco.

People have been doing it since at least the '50's by installing a spark plug in the exhaust and running the carb rich.
Close...

Spark plug in the exhaust like you said, but then there's some wierd wiring setup with a momentary switch/button..

Hitting the button kills the spark on one cylinder and instead sends it to the exhaust plug which then ignites the raw fuel thats been dumped into it via the 'dead' cylinder

With all the wildfires out west I would say YES, that is a very bad idea. Could you imagine what would happen to you if you did start a fire with such a stunt? I don’t think it would be pretty and most certainly not worth it, unless you’d like to be making license plates for the State of Utah in your ample spare time between community showers with your new best friends.

Sounds like a good way to give the greenies more reasons to close off-roading areas.

I was with my mate yesterday and he was telling me how he tuned his Nissan Z to spit flames and that gave me a really bad idea or a really cool idea. Don’t think a bronco could be tuned to spit flames? (Obviously swap out the exhaust and all that good jazz) But would you be able to tune the 2.7 L V6 Eco Boost engine to do that?

My dad used to talk about doing things like this in the 1950's. Then it involved an extra spark plug in your exhaust system and I would imagine a rich mixture would be needed. It could not have been great for the engine. The idea itself has strong 'Merica' vibes going for it.

Anyways being that your in Utah. Should your imaginative creation backfire on you, and burn down a few thousand acres, I would not expect the slightest amount of mercy. A prison sentence and some crippling debt is not unrealistic
