My Choice:

-Four-Door Badlands Trim with the 2.3 EcoBoost and Automatic Transmission
-Lux Package
-Sasquatch Package

Need to get the Four Door for a future family. Need to plan long term with this rig as it will be a huge investment.

Who here is getting the 2.3 EcoBoost Auto?

Any thoughts on significant mpg differences with the steel bumpers/Heavy duty bash plates?

After mulling it over a bit I dont think Im gonna go with Sasquatch package considering the Badlands has almost everything it has except 35s. If I were gonna run 35s on it they definitely wouldnt be Goodyear Wranglers. Believe Im down to Badlands, standard interior package, 2.7, in Antimatter blue.

I feel like Lux will be a $4000-$4500 on its own.
Another thing to consider is that since it only comes with the Standard Package, you have to purchase the Mid and High Packages as well. I don't think any of the three packages will be a huge price bump, but addition is a powerful force.

I think you both could be right in that Lux by itself could be $1-2k, but the total cost to get there may be $5k-ish.

I reserved a Badlands 4-Dr.
Mulling over the 2.3L 7-Speed or 2.7-Auto.
One of the things that sold me on the Badlands trim is the extra wheel travel. Over 1.5" all around.
I think this is because of the 33" tires and Bilstien package. Plan is to stay 33".
My guess is once you go to 35" tires, the up travel is limited for clearance.
(Sasquatch, Wildtrac, FE) Make Sense.

Decided to drop my JL and go with the 2 door badlands. I want to go with the manual trans and high pkg. I may decide on leather depending on how the vinyl looks and what color options they have.

Will probably go with cactus or white, but also considering the cyber orange. Not too sure which top I would like, probalby black or color matched as I am not sold on the standard color.Either way I am looking forward to getting it and making it my own.

I am currently deployed and set to return after the 1st of the year. This will be a nice thing to come home to for sure.

Yeah, this is an important thing to keep in mind.
Standard to mid package brings a wealth of features most people would be satisfied with... This one may be a few grand for sure.
High package simple adds 12" screen, 360 camera, sound deadening, forward sensing system ( whatever that is) and puddle lights.
Lux is a similar jump up.
I only hope they change some things around. Like wireless charging should be in high pack, same with heated steering wheel and additional USB ports. B&O audio should be a stand alone option.
I'd be happy with high package but wanna have that B&O!

BUT! All the trims also offer the Co-Pilot 360 package, which contradicts a lot of the mid package items. So maybe eventually these item/packages will be separate when ordering.
For my Escape, for example, those Co-Pilot features we part of a Safe and Smart + sunroof package. $2500. I could do without all that shit.

Was looking at that since in the Sport B&P you have to order a package to get the B&O. The adaptive cc, charging pad, and garage door openers would be nice, but I do not want Nav and evasive steering assist. May have to buy the B&O through the parts dept.

That may make sense to order the Badlands with the high clearance suspension and no Sasquatch, if at that point the only difference is the 33s v 35s, and a half inch narrower wheel.
I think the high clearance on a Badlands only give you 1/2 - 3/4”. If that is it, you’re probably better off waiting. Someone who has a Squatch will be lifting and you can buy their Bilsteins, or check out the lift options offered in the parts dept.

(Or put 295/70 Duratracs or 285/75 KO2s on when the OEM tires wear out.)

THAT would be costly I think. Since you're also already paying for the 6 speaker system. Maybe cheaper just to tick the box.

I reserved the 2d Badlands. I want the stick and I did want 35’s but I was on the fence after hearing some mutterings about shortened wheel travel.

does anyone have a source for suspension travel for the badlands vs other trims?

Also like others I wonder if the badlands has the same lift as the Sasquatch.

if I can do a Badlands w/ Auto, Hardtop and Sasquatch for about 45K I'll pull the trigger..... If not I'll do a used 2018 JL Rubicon with all the option and save 10K. I hope the Bronco works out!

Badlands deposit in as well. Anyone think the Mid, High, Lux packages have too many electronic nannies? I may just opt for the Sasquatch and 2.7 (if the 2.3 is direct injection only).
Reserved one as well I am thinking Mid, high, and Sasquatch. Maybe add the six?

Saying that is anyone thinking manual? Feel like I need to drive that first and see if the 4 is enough.

Also, Am I the only one feeling weird buying a car without a test drive? Sorry lots of questions. Looking for feedback.

I have that JL Rubi you might want, let me know! Although I don’t know if I’d let it go for only $35K. KBB has the trade-in value at 38K.
