I specifically did not want most of the options. I wanted to keep things as simple as possible. I found out later nothing is simple in the 6G Bronco. I just wanted the 2.7L V6 which required the automatic transmission. I really wanted the manual but I have gotten to like the automatic very much now. I had to pay extra for Cactus Gray. And I wanted the Badlands for what I do on my remote wilderness adventures, but I didn't want 35" tires. That came down to non-SAS with no packages to deal with.

That was my build and found it in stock at a dealer. I am totally happy with it.

I didn't care which top came with it because it will eventually be replace with an Ursa Minor camper. I ended up with the MIC hard top and like it.

I would not buy one without the 360 camera- if you don’t have one, you don’t know what you’re missing

The 360 camera and ACC are nice. Until you want to start adding mods like a winch or a brush guard or anything that might get in the way of the camera and the ACC sensor, then you have to choose between not using the tech, putting extra effort/money into preserving the tech capabilities, and sometimes doing things like sketchy/destructive mods that move the ACC sensor.

If you don't want things that cause those problems, it's just a matter of if you want it or not.

I’d never even owned a vehicle with a back-up cam before, which makes the 360 cams like science fiction! You don’t need ‘em at speed, just when you’re *really* trying to see where that rock/tree/hole is out there creeping along a trail. That and the most treacherous place around: the grocery store parking lot. ;-)

I love my 23 Badsquatch lux. I would never want carpet or leather... need to spray it out. 2dr seats need to fold and slide fast for access.

Sound system, heated mirrors, steering and seats are great. Fabric seats work like Velcro which is great in these very poor side bolstering seats if you can find a '23 OBX fabric take off it's very nice.

B&O quality, to do aftermarket is $5-6K but it still needs $2K in sub amp and sub.

Cameras and ACC are great, should be standard in 2020+

I have ‘25 Badlands + Lux with the Sasquatch pkg and HOSS 3.0 . Basically the wild track pkg. love it. My only ‘regret’ was getting the leather seats. This automatically gets you the carpet and removes the vinyl floor. Since the leather seats are powered, and not waterproof, they assume you want carpeting. I’m going to get the third-party flooring and remove the carpet. Not a huge deal but I wish I had known what else was included with those seats. Lux package is great (or it was on the ‘25s).
I love my leather and electrical seats. I was shocked to see the carpet as well, but decided to just use all weather floor mats. i

We ordered a '25 Badlands Sasquatch w/ Lux and HOSS 3.0. Got the employee pricing when that was offered last summer. Over my wife's objections we went with the washout interior (she really wanted leather and power seats). To me, this is the perfect spec. This may be an unpopular take, but to me the Raptor is just too wide and the styling is . . . a lot. The HOSS 3.0 is great, and we really like the Lux features. She has adapted to non-power seats and actually appreciates the washout interior now (we have kids and a dog). If you can lock in employee pricing it feels like a good "deal."
Your specs for your use sound perfect. Braptor is wide and the styling may be over the top for some but I dig it and the width is a non issue for Starbucks and the dunes. And the on road ride is near perfect for a brick. Do not let your wife drive one.

Haha. If we had more dunes out here I could definitely see the appeal of a Raptor. Sierras are rocky, though, so that's our primary play area. And the trails can be narrow.

Back in January 2025 I purchased a new '24 WildTrak.

At the time, the only feature I thought I wanted from the Lux package was the heated steering wheel. I had ACC in a Lexus I leased several years ago and hardly ever used it. The B&O wasn't a big draw for me. As a result, my mindset was that I wasn't willing to spend over $3,500 for a heated steering wheel, or so I thought. As a result, I went with the mid-package.

I regret that decision, mainly for the 360-degree cameras.

I definitely recommend the HOSS 3.0 package, which came standard on my WildTrak.

As for the discussion of leather and power seats, I wanted that since my other half occasionally drives the Bronco. I do wish the Bronco came with memory seats. It's convenient if more than one person drives the vehicle. With using the driver specific fob, or by pressing a button, your mirrors and seats go to your presets. I have them on my CTS-V and the BMW X5 that the Bronco replaced.

Having the carpeting isn't a big issue for me. I live in Michigan and have gone on some trails, but the interior of my vehicles never gets dirty enough that I have the need to hose them out, in addition I have WeatherTech floor liners installed that do a good job of keeping mud and salt contained. After two winters, carpets still look great with no salt residue.

The cameras are nice but I didn't want all the other stuff that came with them. I have been doing the off-road stuff since 1977 and have learned to know what I am missing before I get to it. I do get an occasional desert pin strip but I try to go down the middle and get them on both sides. Cameras don't me help there.

If I am in a tight spot I can usually get someone to spot for me and the rear view mirrors can be turned down be very useful too. I do like the rear camera. It is especially helpful when hooking up a trailer. It doesn't show the ball but it helps to get the alignment right and know when getting close. Also vision out the back is not so great especially when loaded up with supplies for long wilderness trips.

I use the cameras a lot offroad. Necessary, no useful, yes. Helps to see when dropping off a cliff over the hood. Helps see those rocks I'm sending up the middle. Helps put the passenger side ON a rock.

I've got the cameras, nearly useless as they turn off all the time. I cannot understand why manufacturers feel the need to protect us from our selves with lights, cameras, and disconnects that are set way to low and turn off or reconnect when you don't want them to.

Disagree on the excuse for no power seats in the 2dr. Setting aside the false presumption that most users would even HAVE rear pax, there are plenty of other 2dr vehicles with power seats.

Im hoping to find powered frames in the salvage yards so that I can have seats such as one would expect in a Lux package.
