So I understand that there is a thread on this- after looking there I am not sure if I got a clear answer on it. For the Base bronco group that comes with a 16x7 wheel size- what would be a tire that one could get right away to exchange the 30's that it is sitting on- would 275/70R16s fit?

Thanks in advance!

Nobody knows for certain but there are no suspension differences between Base and OBX. So that OBX tire and rim selection should fit.

Probably, but 265/75 x 16 should fit as it is the same external dimensions as a Black Diamond tire.

The 275/70 x 16 is the same height and half an inch wider, 1/4" each side

I'm way late on this, but I was look for upgrading tires to 255/85 r16. There are not that many tires in that size. I googled (I know should have never googled) what max size tires will fit on 16x7, results were 285 but I'm not going that route.

My discount tire store said they could look into it once I receive my bronco and honestly I will let them do the work. I want to avoid trimming, but if it has to be done because I want my ride to look beefier, then I will go that route. Still thinking that 275/70R16 should be a safe bet

I have simple question. I want to put 255/85 r16 and plan on 1.5 or 2 inch lift on my base. Running the 3.73 gears, will I need to change diffs front and rear?

Not a simple question... but, the tire is 10% bigger than stock, so you would have an equivalent gear ratio of about 3.36. Jeep puts this on 30 and even 32" tire rigs all the time. It might be limiting in very steep or rocky off roading or cause excessive down shifting on the highway.

The outer Banks comes stock with 255 70 18 tires and wheels and has stock 373 gears
