Base trim wheels and tires

Is there anybody else that actually likes the base wheel and tires? I just think they give it an old school look.

No problem with the steelie look, but that's a LOT of open wheel well in non-CGI images.

They're tiny.

I kinda do and would consider it if I could get a rear locker with them.

But I can't so no base steelies for me.

Definitely my favorite of the factory rims seen so far. (Need to be wrapped in some bigger rubber, but the rims I like quite a bit.)

I like the old school look OK, but with today's low center of gravity designs you really need some lift and tire height if you're going into the rocks at all. For just cruising logging roads etc stock will be good.

PS I never noticed the drivers side roof panel is off in this image...cool!

I'm getting a base 2 door and would like either a bigger tire on these wheels, or a different wheel/ tire combo ... to much gap there.

... seemingly Ford want to really discourage people to go up the trims by really giving you really slim offerings ... no tow option, tiny wheel/ tire.

I love them and if my wife didn't insist on having heated seats, a v6 base would be my choice. My Ranger has 30" tires and they're perfectly fine.

Definitely works in this pic. Ultimately each buyer lives with the vehicle they buy , nobody else , get what appeals to you.

I was bummed about no hitch on the base until I saw it. Not attached to anything other than the cross piece. Gonna get a class III after market...

Base wheels have a good look to them. I think just changing the color (black, white, etc.) gives them a lot of flexibility in a custom look too.

If I could get the Base with even just a rear locker I‘d be done...of course front and rear locker would be ideal ??

I do like it but would love just a little bigger (nothing close to 35"). I will be happy with stock 30" for quite a while before exploring options.

As my build is a 2dr base I do like the steelies though I may plastidip them to a darker color. I do not want bigger tires as I will be doing a fair amount of highway driving. So this is my perfect setup ?
