the comparison was between OBX and Black DiamondAnyone actually place an order with their dealer in Canada yet?
My order sheet prices match what is on the US website, for a Badlands.

I must be a grandpa because I'm getting 'emI don't like the Grandpa Steps just as much as the rest, but disposal? Store them in the garage to reinstall on trade/resale of the Bronco, sell the steps on FB Marketplace/Craigslist, or scrap them. Unless you have no access to scrap yards, all three option shouldn't be "hard".
It's not that you are a grandpa if you are getting them. It is just that some of us have no choice. I'm not opposed to a step. But Ford has been using the same step across their fleet for at least the past decade. It looks old. Seems like the one trim (OBX) that they are forcing the steps on doesn't quite live up to Ford's billing of "offroading in style". The new F150 has power steps. Do that. Certainly has more style while serving the purpose.I must be a grandpa because I'm getting 'em
I might end up getting a different step, anyway. If it hurts my knee to get in, I will get my local fancy truck shop to hook me up with something else. It's not that you are a grandpa if you are getting them. You're going to your fridge in August?no chance man. You can't drive 15 mins in PA/NJ without seeing a OBX magnet on the back of someone's car. It's too late.
Hell, I have one on my fridge, and I'm going there in August! Hoping to have my bronco by then. They have awesome spots to go off-roading at. Which is why I'm assuming Ford decided to use it as a trim.
What was your build ?My Black Diamond doesn't come anywhere near that price!
I guess I'm not in the "most" group. The steps are one reason I chose OBX.Most agree with the OP on the steps, but honestly for the price, I can't stand the unfinished look of the underbody versus what $395 removes from my pocket. And for my choice of the WT, I dont get rock rail options (not that I would need them, but at least they would hide the hideous unfinish body look). I may end up keeping them anyways (I have little ones that kind of need them), but I may end up changing their finish as well, maybe truckliner coverage, repainted, etc.
I was only mentioning most in here agree, not that most people at all agree to be clear...I guess I'm not in the "most" group. The steps are one reason I chose OBX.
Thanks.I guess I'm not in the "most" group. The steps are one reason I chose OBX.
Without the step is a little too far up for me. I'm in the grandpa age group. The OBX fishing rig was at my dealer and I had the chance to sit in it and know I need that step.Thanks.
Doesn’t explain why the pricing discrepancy !! So weird.
btw, curious why you like the step? Fashion or function ? Or both ?
