Bronco questions:

I am a new bronco owner, and i have a 2025 base

  • Which side skirt/running boards/side steps should i get for base models for off roading and looks nice? Mine came with nothing
  • Where can i get the center console passenger oem grab handle for cheap ?
  • Can i put the half roof (3 panel subroof) on but keep the rear truck lid canopy cover off?
  • Can i code my bronco to get rid of the youtube play restrictions while im driving? Is there also a way to screen share my phone onto the screen?
  • Can i install anything that higher trims have?
  • Do i need to get a steel bumper to install a bull bar?
  • Can I install the premium oem headlight and tail light package found on higher trims onto my 2025 base model? Will it set off codes or do i need to modifying anything?
  • Are there any cool military style accessories or parts available that i can get for the bronco? I want mine to look more military style

I may have more questions and will post them in this thread if so

I can't answer all your questions, but can throw some things out there

First off - for running boards / rock sliders ... there are hundreds of options there. Go check some of the vendors here to get some ideas. Decide exactly what you want to do (just look good, powered steps, protection on trails, reduce step height, etc) and pick a budget.

For the Youtube thing - first off, you shouldn't... but... check out this post:
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...screen-digital-gauges-on-x-youtube-etc.62705/

For higher trim stuff - Yes. I think just about everything has been added except 4A transfer case. But it will cost you if you want to stay strictly OEM Factory. A lot of things have aftermarket support for cheaper and/or better.

For a bull bar - no, but your options will be limited. IAG has one for the other bumper trims if I recall.

For lights - yes, you can install the signature/LED lights. There are many threads about it here.

Military style accessories - go look around and look at some vendors. Bartact comes to mind as military specific stuff, they specialize in canvas & molle stuff -- but they aren't the only one.

Some of my favorite vendors that I like to plug when I can - this is not an exclusive list, there are many many fine vendors, my memory is only so good and the whiskey is too.

3W floor liners
Turn Offroad
Mountains 2 Metal
Lethal Performance
Northridge 4x4

They do work - but there is a wiring difference.

The standard Halogens use the red brake for turn signal. The Signature LED have a separate wire for an amber turn signal. So you can either... have a red turn signal, or run the wire (somewhat involved) to get the amber turn signal.

Either way there are some Forscan programming changes that need to be made as well - so if you haven't looked into Forscan yet, put that on your To-Do list as well.

There are also some decent aftermarket options here as well - Form Lighting comes to mind as one of the most recent and better reviewed.

Search will be your best friend - be ready to click sublinks here and do some more research, but to get you started:

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/swapped-headlights-for-signature-leds.29909/

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...ogen-tail-lamps-to-oem-led-tail-lights.96486/

If you buy aftermarket - most of those are plug and play. If you want to upgrade to OEM, you will probably need a laptop and a compatible OBD2 adapter for Forscan.

OEM side-step and rock rails sell for $50-100 on craigslist/marketplace, they install in a few minutes and if you don't like them, relist them. The front capable bumpers show up occasionally for $50-150. Toyota makes a rearview mirror Homelink for your garage doors, installs in a minute. The pregnancy handle can be found on Ebay, or you can get them through Ford parts, the location doesn't make sense for anything other than a phone mount or a birth.

I had another question, maybe you can help me; it’s been raining and for the first time I started using the slippery mode but it doesn’t turn very well at all and it’s horrendous as it is in 4 x 4. Is there an all-wheel-drive mode or something that I can use Instead? Its pretty bad!! my last vehicle was a GMC pick up truck and when it was raining, I just put it in a mode called Auto, and I could turn just fine. It was like all-wheel-drive.

4A would be what you are looking for - but only the advanced transfer case has that

you can engage Slippery mode then select 2H to get out of 4WD but keep the AdvanceTrac settings and throttle/steering changes for the GOAT mode

  • Can i put the half roof (3 panel subroof) on but keep the rear truck lid canopy cover off?
On my 2 door Bronco, the front panel interlock with the rear roof section. Those sections need to be removed before removing the rear section. The owner's manual does not say anything going back an installing the front panels WITHOUT first reinstalling the rear section. However, because these panels interlock, I choose not run because things get dangerous and expensive if those panels fly off while cruising down the highway.

It sounds like you have a 4 door Bronco, so maybe things are different.

How does viewing YouTube and streaming phone videos onto the Infotainment screen help you while driving your Bronco?
