Looking to get a front dash cam set up for my 26 Badlands (no auto dimming mirror), rear would be nice to have but not a necessity for me.

Is there a general consensus for the least obtrusive setup available, or are they all about the same? I don't plan to use all 6 auxiliary switch slots, can I wire in a 5V converter and draw straight from there?

I think the Mangoal can be used without having auto-dimmer and has a rear option. I don't believe any aux is required as it piggybacks off one of the plugs inside the overhead console.

If you go that route I would try to get the "new" version with the STARVIS 2 sensor - clarity is noticeably better, as the old one claims 4K but the sensor doesn't actually output it, so any 4K footage is simply upscaled.

I don't have any experience with it, but yeah, Mangoal would be my vote for "cleanest".

Wolfbox would probably come in a close second

I like the look of that one a lot, do you know if there's a separate listing for the new one with the better sensor? I only see one option and it seems to have the base STARVIS

Not sure about Amazon but their own site has the STARVIS 2 units under a separate heading.

Have a look at this Forum entry for the Fitcamx. This is how I'd go if I had to do it over.

I have been happy with my Wolfbox G900 pro it’s just the two camera set up but works well. The only downside side is some of the mirror screens are darker than others, I have a dark screen so it’s like having limo tint in the back but I don’t really mind. The image quality is much better than my old iPhone 7 could capture. The pic with two mirrors is showing the difference between the factory mirror and the Wolfbox
