Big Bend Grille Mod: Inserts and Overlay Letters

My first post—thanks for all the inspiration as I’ve made changes to my 22 Big Bend. Wanted to share my grille mod in case it helps others.

Inserts from LED Factory—very easy to install and hook up to an Aux switch

Overlay Letters from Amazon—I tried painting them a few different colors incl a matte black but found a Behr spray paint (Soft Iron Satin Metallic) that was a near match for the grille which made for a cool monochromatic look. It’s a little sparkly in direct sun compared to the grille itself but pretty good overall.

Those inserts look way better than the ones I got off Amazon. I never used the ones I got, they have this huge lip around them and just look junky. I’m going to add the ones you got to my “to do” list!

are the lights on the inserts removable?

Thanks! The lights are not removable on mine. I don’t know if LED Factory offers the same inserts without them. They do have some without lights but with a different mesh pattern. Thanks again!

Might consider relocating your front License plate below the bumper, further below your great looking Grille so that it "pops" out more!

@EdmondDantes I’m going for the same look on my BB, but I ordered replacement letters from UPR in carbonized gray metallic which is supposed to be the color as the BB grille. As suggested above I put my front license plate low from the start as shown by @Luckylat. I think it looks better there.
