I was just searching big bend for any hints or tips and found this thread. I'm heading down on the 26th. I'm camping right outside of the park on the west side so I'm near the basin campground.Meet up at Big Bend National Park on December 27th, 28th and 29th? Basecamp will be the Chisos Basin Campground.
airbnb has some camp areas or tents right outside the park. I just booked a place called Mel's place. I've got a set up in my bronco to sleep so I'm just sleeping in the truck.New to bronco ownership and late to this forum. Would love to join this big bend meet up. But can’t find a site in either Chisos or Rio grande.
Any suggestions?

I’m loaded and heading out of okc. Camping at the Marriott in Midland tonight then I’ll head down in the morning and do some exploring.
im always guilting of packing to much stuff. I’m plead guilty again.
I am just the opposite. I will show up with the clothes on my back and a couple of protein bars and then spend the entire trip thinking of things I wished I had brought. We will need to meet up another time for some BBQ. I use a 4 drawer file cabinet to smoke brisket.Wish I could join you all. Recovering from foot surgery, so basically grounded.
