https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/exitrax-930-inside-mounting-solution.69954/

I’m trying to keep the external attachment to a minimum so I opted for the Exitrax 930, which are their shortest boards. From what I can tell the Exitrax are very well made Australian boards, not some cheap stuff off eBay. I’m sure someone will correct me on this.

I’m going to have a fridge on the passenger side so I looked at how to mount the boards to the opposite side.

I’d call this of a prototype as there are some things I’d change. I might make the bracket wider and use both mounting holes on the board. I need to see how much they rattle. I’m also using 22 gauge steel which is about as much as my power shears can handle.

I believe the Exitrax use the same mounting as Maxtrax so I may look at that solution. Right now I just have a bolt and some spacers.

Got out in the Tillamook Forest. Found some snow. The road went from wet to barely passable to not passable at all. While it was ok where I took the pic not far up the road it was way higher. I watched a lifted Cherokee on at least 37s (and no fear) struggle so I wasn't going to try it with no help. Or no winch.

I also checked out a couple of the OHV parks but didn't try the trails. Still too much snow in some areas.
Love the green with the bronze Methods.

I can't decide between those and the Icon rebound pro's in bronze for mine (rapid red).

How concerned are you about low air pressure performance? How confident are in you in your installer?

They are definitely different shades of bronze.

I was looking hard at the Rebounds but the simplicity of the Methods won me over.

Both would satisfy my requirements for low air pressure performance.
I'm confident OK4WD has seen Rebound Pro's. Random tire place in an emergency? Less confident.
Method bronze is deeper. It would pop more.

I think I like the style of the Rebound Pro's a little more than the 703's and the Icons are less common.

Like you mentioned, simplicity and color point me to the 703's.
Procrastination keeps the money in my pocket, so there is that... :(

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts and your Bronco looks great!

Got the tailgate table installed. It doesn’t use rivnuts instead something called a jacknut. And it’s possible to strip or damage the threaded part on the jacknut. Then you need to order more from Amazon.

But all better now.

Got my driving lights installed today. Sure I’ve got some cheap lights but dang, they are bright! Next will be the rock lights. Then I might be done with lights. Might.

Version 2. Bought some mounting screws for Maxtrax. They don’t really work well with the Exitrax but I made them work. The single bolt was probably plenty sturdy enough. I never heard the boards even rattle. I think the last change I’d make is to the spacer on the bolts. And maybe paint the bracket black.

Welp, finally finished the rock lights. Took me about the whole day. Glad I’m not making a living installing this stuff. But I’m taking a lot of care tucking the wiring and such. Because I have magnets on the lights I can tune the location assuming there’s steel.

Spent my points on the floor mats. The floor would have to get really dirty before I’ll need to pull them and wash out the floors.

I did wash the floors before putting the mats in.

I’ll post the rear mat. Not super happy the way they with the cup holders.

In other news I’m past the break in phase.
I must have really missed something here since I’ve had mine, but when did they put plastic on the flooring instead of carpeting? That makes it quite a bit easier to clean.

Learned something new today, that’s interesting. I have carpet in OBX with roast interior. I’m using carpet floor mats that came with it but I’m thinking of switching to all weather rubber. I had them in my ranger and liked them a lot. At a minimum, I want to get the rubber one for the trunk area, can’t believe it didn’t come with it when ordering.

Just get the Ford floor mats. They fit really well and will protect your carpet.

Yes that’s what I have, the ones that came with it. They are the carpeted ones though. I’d like to get the rubber ones.
