A while ago the Ironman 4x4 shop had a Bronco Cars & Coffee event. At the end of the morning they had a raffle. Everyone I had been there with had left gave me their raffle tickets. I walked away with a curved light bar. Sure it was used but it was also free. I finally got it installed using some $9 brackets from Amazon. I was able to utilize some of the Bronco bolts on the Mod Bumper. The next day we did a trail ride up on Mt. Hood. The light bar made a massive difference once it got dark. I didn’t know how bright the bar was until I drove home and the high beams paled in comparison.

In other news the RTT is now stored away in the garage. Need to remove it so when we go get a Christmas tree the rack won’t have anything on it.

A few weeks ago I installed my favorite Christmas present, the Midland MXT275 MicroMobile® 15-Watt GMRS two-way radio.

I already had some Motorola handheld but the convenience of a built in radio is not worrying about keeping the radio charged plus extended range and more clarity.

The morning before last year’s film festival I found out my Bronco had shown up at the dealership. I headed immediately there, they got through the prep and paperwork and somehow I managed to make it to the theatre, mostly on time. I’ve outfitted it with a bunch of accessories to improve the experience. Since then I’ve put almost 20k miles on it through just about every sort of terrain you can imagine. But best of all it’s taken me to see old friends and family and helped me meet new friends. Let’s see what the next year brings.

Mountains2Metal Squatch Basket. Mostly to hold the Midland radio mic.

I'll probably put a rubber mat at the bottom of the basket so it doesn't make a lot of noise.

Somewhere along the line I forgot about the roof top tent addition. This was done while I was on my road trip last summer.

And in fact the tent is currently in the garage and not on the Bronco. It's so slim I can just lean it up against the wall and it's barely noticeable.
