Just posting because dealership is still selling 2024 new Bronco’s w/ Bilsteins on recall while newer models have Fox upgrade. I didn’t think you could sell new car on recall. Here’s your money shot Ducati098!!

Bronco's built AFTER the end of July '24 are not affected by the recall, so I have to assume that those vehicles still for sale were built after the cutoff date.

Does anyone know the cutoff of the manufacturing date. I believe my Badlands was built 09/24. It shows no recall when I checked. Thanks
I have an 8/24 build, and it isn't on recall either. I think we are just past the date.
Still not sure how our "upgraded" shocks are different than the recall shocks.

I can't say for sure, but if you look at that photo, the flange I suppose is the part that joins the reservoir to the shock body. It looks like it's about half the width of the other ones. The top of the reservoir also looks different I think, but not sure about that. I think somebody else mentioned they're welded differently (or at all).

If you could take and post some better pictures of yours, we might be able to work it out, but it may not be obvious either.

It’s all about “long flange” (bad) vs “short flange” (good).

You can see that the attachment point is much larger on the failed shocks.

No idea if the new shocks are “better”.

This applies ONLY to SAS equipped Broncos, IIRC. So you shouldn't be affected by it.

It's for non-sas badlands and sasquatch equipped vehicles. The affected engineering numbers are in the NHTSA report linked below.

I took these off a few weeks ago and installed Bilstein 6112. My non sas badlands 4door has a build date of 10/24.

Definitely applies to Non-SAS Badlands, I got the letter, carfax, and fordpass notifications for my 21 Badlands Non-SAS.

Of course, I had a reservoir fall off at Uwharrie way back in May of 2023, Back then none of this had been news, so I just figured I knocked it off backing over something, and replaced all of them with Eibach 2.0s at the time, So not really concerned about the recall at this point..

My mistake guys...I thought it was SAS only. Didn't realize BL had them too, even w/o SAS.
