Black Diamond Mild Build

It all started on July 14, 2020. Made the reservation and proceeded to wait with everyone else. Started out as an AMB Black Diamond. That was crushed by delays but we ended here with a January 21, 2022 build date. Couldn't be happier. Planning on a mild build. Light trails and pine barrens hunting areas. Some beach fishing trips. Nothing hardcore (at least not yet). Could see a couple trips to AAOA, and Raucsh Creek. Plan on adding to this thread to document my build process if its ever really done.

Following. Im currently waiting on my 2dr BD non sas. I ordered 12/28/22 built 4/12 but on a plant hold. Velocity blue 2.3 at mid tow. My dealer is 45min away and 4wheel parts has a store along the way. Thatll be the first stop to order my wheels and tires. 2nd stop will be back home to removed the top and doors.

Five days before the PPF and ceramic coat we get a freak hailstorm totally F'up my hood

Fortunately my ceramic guy has a PDR guy fixed them all looks amazing

More Mods

ARB single stage compressor and mounting bracket from 4x4 LEDS

Still working on 4-tire refill hose kit. Had to use a basic brass coupler since getting an ARB coupler is like finding gold lately.

Added a JCR folding table to the rear gate

Four days at the Ceramic Coat shop. Full PPF, ceramic coating, tinted windows, and 3M vinyl wrapped roof.

While the shop was stripping off part for the PPF I removed the crash bars nd installed SCV Offroad 2" Spring Perch Kit.

After the PPF and coating it was off to tire shop for an alignment and BFG KO2 285/75R17 on the stock steelies. Fit perfect and look great. No rub. Stance and height are prefect.

Still following haha.. Any issues with the vinyl on the roof? My vinyl guy doesnt think its going to work. We're gonna try. I have those same tires on my Jeep and plan to swap them over. Did you add a spacer for clearance or just remove crash bars? can you post a side shot of how they fit in relation to the fender?

My vinyl guy doesn't think it will hold up well either. We went with it and wait and see. If it fails ill go with color matched linex type paint.

I installed an SVC Offroad coil spring perch kit. 2" lift. Removed the crash bars and gained 2" over stock. Here is the rear tire in relation to fender.

Thanks alot! Looks great. Im like a kid waiting for xmas over here. Every 2 weeks Im checking in with Ford and it keeps getting pushed back another 2 weeks. My latest update says 6/18 so we shall see.

Mark, I'll keep an eye on your vinyl roof mod. That shade looks like a perfect match to the color I used for powder coating back in March. I live in Camden County but work in Burlington County. At least until November. Sharp rig. And I got caught in that hailstorm as well. About 30 dingers. All gone now. Johnny Dents in Pennsauken. Pic below is THE day I returned from PDR. Keep on truckin', Brother!

Looks great. Hailstorm was brutal. Think they fixed 36 dings. I considered going the painted wheel route too. Couldn’t find a wheel I really liked. Almost pulled the trigger on a set of method 301 polished. They were 0 offset and I wasn’t sure how the poke would be on standard flares
