Blind Spot /Cross Traffic Warning -- Failure mode was detected was corrosion within wire harness in rear bumper.

2021 OBX with 35.5k miles just put in for service for warning codes.
Failure mode was detected was corrosion within wire harness in rear bumper.
Wondering if this is going to be a long term issue. 18 months, with 2 winters and very minor snow this year.

Anyone else with this diagnosis?

I just had my 23 Badlands in for the same issue... with 7k miles on it. Really disappointing.

I have the same issue with my 2022 black diamond bronco 36,700 miles. As of today march 7th, 2024 ford will not cover it under warranty because we are 700 miles over ford's basic warranty. The issue was already fixed once under warranty at 16k miles. I bought the platinum warranty which covers bumper to bumper for 100k miles but they won't cover it because it's "corrosion". The dealership first quoted us 6k dollars to replace both wiring harnesses. We're now working at different solutions... this needs to be a recall and our dealership is working on that.
