COME ON B&P!!! (wanted to at least say something on-topic here)wait what? Android is and always has been Linux kernel based. way off topic but IOS basis is from OSX and we can trace that all the way back to where that started. guess what that was. BSD Unix.
I wasn't talking about the root of it all, but the modern touchscreen based android that we have today is based on the GUI Apple brought out with the first iPhone, when they saw the response to it, they very quickly switched gears from the keyboards and trackpads. I worked for AT&T corporate for 12 years so I've had my face shoved in the smartphone evolution for a long time... Not in that world anymore but I don't think much has changed. I think both platforms have their merits, I just prefer the way all of my Apple stuff integrates. I tend to have few to no issues with my Apple stuff vs Android devices I've had over the years. One of the pros of only one company making the hardware, far less fragmentation and potential for issues. There are certain scenarios I give the nod to Android on... they just aren't important to me in my daily life.
