Ranger actually had 303 sales in January and 0 sales in February, as 2024s hadn't shipped out. The new 2024s are finally making their way to dealers.

I think Ford needs to watch pricing on Bronco, and think that's having an affect on sales. There's no reason for my trim equally equipped to be $8k more today than it was just 2 years ago....a slight increase, sure, but not $8k with little to no added features.

Sales were already dropping in 2023 and then yesterday Ford revealed that sales dipped another 25.8% in the quarter to just 24,000 units sold.

Ford is now offering incentives but until those incentives cover the 30% markups of the past 2-3 years, they can forget about it.

I run a business and when I see a drop like this its definitely an "oh crap" moment. 25% drop YoY is quite large.

These drops are not due to labor shortages or supply chain issues.

Question for the experts: when Ford records a "sale" is it a sale to a customer or a dealer? So when ford says it sold 24,066 units in Q1, is it like Tesla where the vehicle is in a customer's hands, or is it just in dealer inventory? I understand the production number clear enough, but I feel like Ford needs to report three numbers: production, dealer sales, and deliveries.

Bronco has been red hot for a couple of years. They are unfortunately as common as the cold where I live. GX, Land Cruiser, and 4-runner have everyone panting... including me. Everything aside, ford will have to revisit pricing on Bronco.
