Bronco Windshield Cracks

I guess I’m not shocked because I think I saw where Broncos are susceptible to cracks in the windshield, but a bit surprised that I have 2 already in a 3 month old.

Don't follow so close and don't cruise in the fast lane where rocks can get kicked up from opposing traffic. A little defensive driving will avoid most.

I've been fortunate, I'm going with I got the one they quality tested, y'all got the rest. I remember that one lady posted the whole side glass smashed in claimed that a rock kicked up caused it.

Those that have had it replaced, is it an easy switch out with everything going on around windshield? More luck going in to a service center or doesn’t really matter if you use the service that comes to you?

Just an FYI, I found out it was a ding on my insurance for "Comp claims over $1000", after 2 replacements that cost like $1050 a piece. If I had known, I'm pretty sure I could've worked something out, to drop the price $51.

I’ve only got chips in mine. I used the RainX windshield repair kit and it’s held up great. It does say you can use those kits to repair cracks like yours, not sure if it’s the best idea or not but might hold for a while if you need to wait

I have tried repairing cracks like that, they eventually all spread. Also, all my cracks started at the edge of the windshield and no shop I talked to will repair a crack like that. I have had to replace my windshield twice and have used both a shop and Safelite. Both were easy and smooth. I specifically shopped insurance with a separate windshield replacement deposit cause i figured this would happen more then i would like.
