This time of year?

Background of 2nd pic is probably my winter beater when the snow flies. Scored a nice older civic too as a commuter if the weather isn't heavy!

Could never drive an Aptera in Michigan because the roads suck and you would break something everytime you took it out.

My Daily needs two things.

1 - a Stick Shift
2 - Really good Air Conditioning.
3 - decent driving dynamics.

So, something with a stick, a good A/C, and rear wheel drive. That leaves me with a Bronco or a Mustang for Ford.

Bronco ought to be a better daily than the Mustang due to better visibility.

During the summer I spend as much or more time in a boat as I do in the Bronco. Our 26 foot Cobalt weighs 6,800 pounds with trailer so my wife’s daily driver is an ‘18 Range Rover with the Ford Lion 3.0L diesel that has given us 29 mpg over the last 72,000 miles.

No daily drivers. We take the Bronco out a couple times a week when top is down and the weather is great and the Kia when it ain't.

I am always curious about buying a second vehicle to save money. If this this ever actually gets produced, it's going to be in the $50k price range. If the average cost of fuel is $5/gal that $50k equates to 10,000 gallons. If your Bronco averages 18MPG the cost of one of these will take your Bronco 180k miles. 180K is the break even point in "savings". At 100 miles per day it would take 1800 days to break even. That is if you never drive the Bronco during that time.

My Bronco is my daily, 70 miles round trip each day. Driving it to and from work is what gets me through my work day. lol.

If I had some extra cash I would probably look for a used civic to daily.

you're forgetting insurance, and double everything too. tires, oil, brakes etc. etc.

i love the bronco but in the end it's just another vehicle, for most this isn't their first or last one. just ride the snot out of it and wait for the ev bronco if you're worried about efficiency. they will release it sooner than later; most of the ford fleet has an ev counterpart now.
