Build & Price - how come shadow black mod top only shows with the roof off?

I have a question about build and price. When you select the shadow black mod top how come it only shows it with the roof off? If you toggle the roof on/off it just stays off. It would help me pick a color if I could see the black top intead of the grey, in four door with the different colors?

On my computer the MIC top looks black anyway. So, that's what I used as a reference.

It’s a glitch but it’s also Fords way of saying it’s a late availability item...

for the purpose of color selection only, maybe just leave the soft top selected-it shows black and is essentially the same shape/design.

Thanks guys that Canadian site is just the ticket, the “colorizor” on the main page also lets you switch to 4 door, but the build and price with the black painted mod top really helps visualize the difference from the grey mic top! Thanks a bunch

I just changed my MIC carbonized gray top to be painted black and my dealer came back with an extra $1895.00 added to the price
does this sound about right or do you all think it can be done cheaper at local body shop

The black painted roof is a totally different roof, not just a paint job. Heavier materials and pop out windows/panels.

Mic top has a texture to it as well... most folks seem to think it will be a pain to paint. However, I like the mic top being kinda grey to match with the other plastic pieces. It’ll likely fade like the plastic trim on most any other vehicle though, so be aware of that too.

So , its better to order the Black to start with and will the Black fade out or is it a different animal .
I really do like the two tone contrast like this. I borrowed this pic.
