Hi Forum. I was wiring my powered sub through the firewall when I noticed this bundle of wires. Any idea what they are for? I have a 2021 Big Bend soft top 4 dr MT and no aux switches accessory. Thanks.

Okay. Does that mean they have been run up the pillars as well? That would be convenient if I wanted to add the switches later. Would have to check the fuse box too.

If I’m looking at it correct, that’s the wire bundle. Should be running to the radiator, 2 behind the glove box, one in the top passenger pillar under the visor mount, and one in the passenger rear. Then there’s another group coming out of the power distribution box that are the hots but that may only be with the aux switches installed?

If you don't have the aux switches, you won't have the wire on the pillar under the visor. Ford used a slightly different variation of the a-pillar harness that excludes wires for the aux switches.

The unterminated wires under the hood aren't a complete circuit if you have the holder for sunglasses. Non-aux switch Broncos use a BJB/BCMC that don't inclue the relays/fuses for them to work.

If you want to use them, you'll need to swap out (1) a BJB that has the switch fuses & built in relays, (2) the a-pillar harness that includes the extra wiring needed for the switches and (3) the dome assembly with the actual switch panel. Then there's some programming of the BJB necessary to get it to work.
